Introduction
Donaldson is looking for a sales engineer for our Gas Turbines Systems department.
The ideal candidate has sales experience in energy, Oil & Gas or power generation in the Nigerian market.
This position is based in our EMEA Headquarters in Belgium. (Leuven)
We consider candidates based in the EU, UK or Africa. As long as they are willing to relocate to Belgium and match with are our most critical requirements.
Critical requirements: Engineering degree, fluent in English, commercial experience in the power generation or Oil & Gas industry in Nigeria.
Responsibilities
Promote company products and services by providing commercial & technical support to customers/distributors within assigned territory.
Establish and maintain contacts with customers in assigned territory.
Identify & qualify opportunities and follow up their progress until closing.
Contribute to the market intelligence activities.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers.
Understand customer requirements and addressing it internally in timely manner and helping in developing the solution.
Visit customer’s sites, access their equipment and provide first line technical support when needed.
Internal coordination with engineering, pricing, logistic department and customer service.
Background
Engineering degree, preferably mechanical or electrical
At least 3 years of experience in technical sales
Experience in Nigerian territory is a must
Experience in Oil & Gas sector or experience in power generation is a must.
Turbomachinery, rotating equipment, filtration knowledge is an added value.
Fluent English communication (written and spoken)
Skills & other requirements
Strong negotiation skills & communication skills.
Ability to establish communication matrix and handle customer’s engineers, plant managers, procurement managers. Etc.
Good administrative capabilities as desired candidate will be reporting all business activities through CRM on daily basis.
Capable of handling different types of customers such as end users, OEMs, contractors, agents, and distributors.
Interact efficiently with colleagues within the organization, such as peers, internal sales team, customer service team, engineering, finance, and others.
Flexibility to travel as job require 30% travel time.
