Area Sales Engineer - North

Description

The successful Area Sales Engineer will play a pivotal role in expanding our customer base and maintaining strong connections with current clients. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of compressed air and gases, coupled with excellent communication and collaboration skills. This role requires a proactive individual with the ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and thrive in a dynamic sales environment.

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Northern UK territory.
  • Keep up to date on industry trends and customer needs.
  • Nurture and strengthen relationships with existing clients.
  • Provide excellent customer support and address inquiries or concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with other areas of the business to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Possess a good understanding of compressed air and gases and their applications.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the assigned territory.
  • Plan and schedule customer visits, ensuring effective time management.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in CRM.
  • After undergoing comprehensive training to gain in-depth knowledge of our processes and product offerings, you will be responsible for crafting tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of our customers.
  • You will ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining regular contact with customers, responding quickly and professionally to enquiries, and following up on quotations and leads.
  • Together with your international colleagues, you will contribute to consistent and profitable sales growth.

Your Profile:

To be successful in this position you will need to be committed, independent and proactive with a motivation for sales and drive for achieving targets. You will need to be organised and can plan your own time and communicate well both written and verbal at all levels.

Key Attributes:

  • Previous relevant professional experience in a technical sales role, either internal or external.
  • Practical knowledge of MS Office, as well as experience with CRM systems is essential.
  • A good understanding of compressed air or gases is necessary, industry experience is desirable.
  • Willingness to travel for regular customer visits (North UK responsibility) including overnight stays, as well some yearly EMEA travel, full clean driving license required.
